Since childhood, Grace has always been fascinated by nature. She relishes time spent in natural settings and the spiritual connection evoked by such experiences. Paddling down the Sebastian River, one of her favorite subjects, or studying the skies, clouds, and shades of green are some of her most relaxing and peaceful pastimes.

While drawing and painting have always been interests, she got a B.A. in Biology, and later a Master’s in Education. It prompted a friend to say she had “a scientist’s mind and an artist’s temperament.” Currently, she focuses on painting landscapes in oil.

After living and working in rural parts of California and Alaska, Grace moved to Florida in 1988 with her husband and young son. From the beginning, she was inspired by the magnificent skies and beautiful scenes around her. She retained a love of the Impressionists from a high school art class, and read many books on their lives.  In an effort to develop her skills, she has taken numerous private classes, group classes, and workshops over the past 25 years. She has benefited from the guidance of many well-known and successful artists over the years, and is appreciative of their encouragement and direction.

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”  Albert Einstein
